NIGERIA OUTSHINE ETHIOPA 2 - 1
Super eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike scored a brace to help Nigeria secure an away win in Addis-ababa.
The first half ended goaless with both teams trying to make a mark was a goalless first half, The Walya Antelopes had a goal disallowed after Godfrey Oboabona made a goal line clearance.
The second half was not as predicted as it was in the first half and the first chance came for the Antelopes in the 55th minute but Enyeama read the bounce very well and cleared the dange.
Behailu Assefa scored the opening goal for Ethiopia on 56 minutes, before Emmanuel Emenike equalised on 67 minutes.
The super eagles made the first change of the game by bringing in Nosa Igiebor for Nnamdi Oduamadi in the 63rd minute as the goal woke up the Nigerians who then went in search of the equalizer.
The Super Eagles should have equalised in the 62nd minute when Moses went one-on-one with the goalkeeper but goalkeeper Tassew did well to save at the feet of the Liverpool man. Minutes later, Keshi withdrew Moses, who had an average game and brought on Brown Ideye.
The huge fans at Addis Ababa Stadium were however silenced when Emenike produced a goal out of nothing to equalise for Nigeria with a terrific shot from outside the box.
Emmanue Emenike scored from the penalty spot in the 90th minute to seal the win for Nigeria after he was brought down inside the box by an Ethiopian player.
The super eagles of Nigeria now have a good advantage to qualify for Brazil 2014 over the Walya Antelopes, as only a draw at the UJ Esuene stadium in calabar, November 16 would see them qualify for the world cup.
Nigeria line-up: Enyeama, Efe, Elderson, Oboabona, Egwuekwe; Onazi, Mikel, Oduamadi; Moses, Musa, Emenike.
