Mikel Obi and Victor moses shortlisted for BBC African footballer of the year for 2013

Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi and Chelsea on loan striker to Liverpool,Victor Moses,are among the five players shortlisted for the bbc african footballer of the year for 2013 after their triumph victory as Africa champions in AFCON.


 Though many Nigerians thinks that Nigeria and Lille  first choice goal keeper Vincent Enyeama, should have been on the top 5 due to his current top form for both club and country

The five players shortlisted for the awards includes:
Yaya Toure (Ivory Coast)
Victor Moses (Nigeria)
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Gabon)
John Mikel Obi (Nigeria)
Jonathan Pitroipa (Burkina Faso)

Many are of the opinion that chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi is favorite for the award after winning African cup of Nations with Nigeria and Europa leaque for chelsea.Why some are of the opinion that last year winner of the award,Ivory coast and Man city Midfielder Yaya Toure is also a strong contender for the award because of his current form.

The winner will be decided by African football fans and announced on December 2.
