TOP 7 CULT GROUPS AMONGS 180 CULT IN NIGERIA UNIVERSITY............

There are about 180 cult groups in Nigeria, says a non-governmental organization (NGO)-Peace on Campus Initiative (PCI).
The group said the figure was obtained by its intelligent unit in each zone, state and Local Government Area (LGAS).

In Nigeria, a confraternity is a group that is nominally university-based, though 'street and creek' confraternities began in the 1990s. The first confraternity, the Pyrates Confraternity was created as a social organization for promising students.
However, as new confraternities were formed, they became increasingly violent through the 1970s and 1980s. By the 1990s, many confraternities largely operated as criminal gangs, called "campus cults" in Nigeria. Besides normal criminal activity, confraternities have been linked to political violence, as well as the conflict in the Niger Delta.
In no particular order, here are the "Top 7 Confraternities in Nigeria and their History"

Pyrate Confraternity
Ahoi-Seadog
In 1952, Wole Soyinka and a group of six friends (Ralph Opara, Ikhehare Aig-Imokhuede, Sylvanus Egbuchie, Nathaniel Oyelola, Pius Oleghe, Olumuyiwa Awe) formed the Pyrate Confraternity at the elite University College, Ibadan, then part of the University of London. According to the Pyrates, the "Magnificent Seven", as they called themselves, observed that the university was populated with wealthy students associated with the colonial powers and a few poorer students striving in manner and dress to be accepted by the more advantaged students, while social life was dictated by tribal affiliation. Soyinka would later note that the Pyrates wanted to differentiate themselves from "stodgy establishment and its pretentious products in a new educational institution different from a culture of hypocritical and affluent middleclass, different from alienated colonial aristocrats". The organization also known as the National Association of Seadogs (NAS) adopted the motto "Against all conventions", the skull and crossbones as their logo, while members adopted confraternity names such as "Cap'n Blood" and "Long John Silver". When fellow students protested a proposal to build a railroad across the road leading to the university, fearing that easier transportation would make the university less exclusive, the Pyrates successfully ridiculed the argument as elitist. Roughly analogous to the fraternities and sororities of North America, the Pyrates Confraternity proved popular among students, even after the original members moved on. Membership was open to any promising male student, regardless of tribe or race, but selection was stringent and most applicants were denied. For almost 20 years, the Pyrates were the only confraternity on Nigerian campuses.

NIGERIA OUTSHINE ETHIOPA 2 - 1

Super eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike scored a brace to help Nigeria secure an away win in Addis-ababa.

The first half ended goaless with both teams trying to make a mark was a goalless first half, The  Walya Antelopes had a goal disallowed after Godfrey Oboabona made a goal  line clearance.
The second half was not as predicted as it was in the first half and the first chance came for the Antelopes in the 55th minute but Enyeama read the bounce very well and cleared the dange.

Behailu Assefa scored the opening goal  for Ethiopia on 56 minutes, before Emmanuel Emenike equalised on 67 minutes.

The super eagles made the first change of the game by  bringing in Nosa Igiebor for Nnamdi Oduamadi in the 63rd minute as the goal woke up the Nigerians who then went in search of the equalizer.

The Super Eagles should have equalised in the 62nd minute when Moses went one-on-one with the goalkeeper but goalkeeper Tassew did well to save at the feet of the Liverpool man. Minutes later, Keshi withdrew Moses, who had an average game and brought on Brown Ideye.

The huge fans at Addis Ababa Stadium were however silenced when Emenike produced a goal out of nothing to equalise for Nigeria with a terrific shot from outside the box.
Emmanue Emenike scored from the penalty spot in the 90th minute to seal the win for Nigeria after he was brought down inside the box by an Ethiopian player.

The super eagles of Nigeria now have a good advantage to qualify for Brazil 2014 over the Walya Antelopes, as only a draw at the UJ Esuene stadium in calabar, November 16 would see them qualify for the world cup.

Nigeria line-up: Enyeama, Efe, Elderson, Oboabona, Egwuekwe; Onazi, Mikel, Oduamadi; Moses, Musa, Emenike.

Nigeria vs Ethiopa preview....kick off time, 2pm Nigeria time

KICKOFF TIME  IS 2PM NIGERIA TIME  Ethiopians hope to appear at the fifa World cup 2014 at the first time.

How will this much anticipated ‘battle of Addis Ababa’ wrap up? Will it be a stroll in the park for Stephen Keshi’s star-studded side or will it be David slaughtering Goliath which might generate uncertainty over the reigning African kings’ participation in their fifth World Cup ever? Well, ninety minutes of action-packed football will decide.

The Walya Antelopes may well be in disarray following the unavailability of star striker Getaneh Kebede who is condemned to the sidelines due to injury and the distraction of the elections into the executive committee of the Ethiopia Football Federation. But coach Sewnet Bishaw believes his side, ranked a far-flung 93rd in the FIFA rankings, can pull the chestnut from the fire having gotten rid of South Africa to get to this decisive stage.

How to tell when a lady just had sex

Did you know that just by walking down the street, or across the office, people may be able to figure out that you've gotten láid?
Because having a váginal orgásm does more than just put a little pep in your step. It actually causes you to walk differently, with a longer stride and a greater pélvic rotation.
In a European study, trained séxologists (nice job title) were able to pick out, with an 81 percent accuracy, which women had an orgásm just by watching them walk.
But that's not the only way someone can tell if a woman has had séx. Here are a few others:

The Glow: There's a scientific reason for us getting the flushéd in the cheeks look after séx -- more blood flow -- but what about that aura of calm that seems to float around us after the fact? It happens. Recently, my husband and I went on a post-coital grocery store trip and ran in to some friends. The wife remarked to me, "You're glowing," with a little wink and a nod.

The Cat Who Ate The Canary Grin: This is also known as the Smirking Smile and if you see a woman looking sideways with this look on her face, you'll know, yep, she just got láid. She has a secret that's making her go through her day with a sense of fulfillment. Because, seriously, nobody is that happy unless they just had séx with a happy ending.

The Wét Spot: I know this is gross but getting séminal moisturé leaking through to your pants can be an unfortunate byproduct of having séx, at least if you don't use a condóm or your partner doesn't pull out. And it's not one of the good ways you would want someone to be able to tell that you recently had séx. Wéaring a pad post-intercourse can help prévent this -- just sayin'.

The Unfláppably Buoyánt Mood: A post-intercoursé risé in é dorphins can give you a fresh pérspective on the annoyances of every day life: Go ahead, honk at me because I'm going too slow. Cut in front of me in the check-out line at the store. And let my kids scream at each other while they argue over who gets to sit in the front seat on the way to school. I. Don't. Care. Thanks to a little early morning sunrise surprise, nothing is going to put me in a bad mood.

Top 5 richest pastors in Nigeria

Bishop David Oyedepo
Affiliation: Living Faith World Outreach Ministry, aka Winners Chapel
Estimated net worth: $150 million
David Oyedepo is Nigeria’s wealthiest preacher. Ever since he founded the Living Faith World Outreach Ministry in 1981, it has grown to become one of Africa’s largest congregations. The Faith Tabernacle, where he hosts three services every Sunday, is Africa’s largest worship center, with a seating capacity of 50,000. Oyedepo owns four private jets and homes in London and the United States. He also owns Dominion Publishing House, a thriving publishing company that publishes all his books (which are often centered on prosperity). He founded and owns Covenant University, one of Nigeria’s leading tertiary institutions, and Faith Academy, an elite high school.

Why Edo state governor Adams Oshiomole intends selling government properties to raise funds.

Edo state governor comrade Adams Oshiomole  intends selling the Edo house  located in Lagos state.Though many Edo people critisize the act, stating that the governor should be thinking of how to create industries in the state instead of selling Edo state government properties.

Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole , described as mischievous and petty, the criticism by the state Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, over plans by the state government to sell the Edo House in Lagos.

Oshiomhole,  at Government House, Benin City, insisted that government had perfected plans to sell the house so as to use the proceeds to build a five-star hotel and also develop the proposed Benin City business district, adding that the previous PDP governments in the state abandoned the house which, according to him, led to its current dilapidated state.

Cote d`Ivoire 3 - 1 Senegal....Report

Didier Drogba (Ivory Coast)
Cote d'Ivoire took a step closer to reaching the World Cup next year after a comfortable victory over Senegal in their first leg play-off, but will be disappointed they conceded a late goal which will have taken some of the gloss off the scoreline for the hosts.

Captain Didier Drogba opened the scoring with a penalty in the fifth minute for the winners, and an own goal from Lamine Sane shortly after doubled their advantage.

Salomon Kalou coolly slotted a third just after half-time and, although Papiss Cisse netted an injury-time strike for the losers, Ivory Coast still won well.

They now have the upper hand in their bid to secure a place at next year's showpiece in Brazil, with Senegal to host the second leg on November 16.

Cote d'Ivoire coach Sabri Lamouchi made five changes to the side that drew with Morocco last time out, with Didier Zokora and Sol Bamba headlining the inclusions.

Newcastle striker Cisse – who is Senegal's leading scorer in qualification – returned to the starting line-up for the visitors as one of four changes.

The winners made the perfect start, scoring after just five minutes when Gervinho was upended by Cheikhou Kouyate in the penalty area.

Drogba sent Senegal goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul the wrong way from the spot, and things went from bad to worse for Alain Giresse's side shortly after.

The lively Gervinho, who was a constant threat for the victors, raced away down the left, before aiming a cross at Drogba from the left.

Sane deflected the cross into his own net though, sending a partisan crowd wild as Cote d'Ivoire led 2-0 in less than 15 minutes.

Senegal did enjoy a good spell after, posing some questions for Cote d'Ivoire, but Gervinho should have scored a third six minutes before the break when he raced clear and rounded Coundoul.

Gervinho's effort was blocked by Lamine Gassama though, while Yaya Toure blasted over as the Elephants had to be content with a two-goal lead at half-time.

The third goal did arrive though, with Gervinho setting up Kalou just after the break.

The Lille striker broke the offside trap and then kept his composure, sliding past the advancing Coundoul and into the net.

Yaya Toure almost added a fourth four minutes from time when his shot flashed just past the post before Cisse gave Senegal a late lifeline.

The hosts failed to deal with a long ball pumped into the penalty area and Cisse reacted quickest, smashing past goalkeeper Boubacar Barry in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

The goal gave Senegal some hope, but Cote d'Ivoire left the pitch the happiest after a convincing win

I WAS DEFILED BY MY FATHER WHEN I WAS 8 .....AZIZA

Aziza Kibibi was only eight-years-old when her father – an MTV award-winning music video directorstarted defiling her. By 10, Aswad Ayinde’s lessons teaching his daughter ‘how to be a woman’ turned violent and his regular defiling produced five children out of inc*st in a perverse attempt to create a ‘pure’ bloodline

Ayinde, who is also known as Charles McGill and won fame after directing The Fugees’ ‘Killing Me Softly’ video, was sentenced to 50 years in prison on July 26, finally ending Kibibi’s nightmare.

The incredibly brave woman, who is now 35, married and running a promising baking business, spoke out about the traumatic childhood this week for the first time.
Kibibi revealed her childhood started off relatively normal. She lived with her mother and father on the third-floor of an apartment in Paterson, New Jersey, with her Jamaican immigrant grandparents living below.

Kibibi was home-schooled but still allowed to play with the neighbourhood children. When her family grew to include eight children they moved into a bigger apartment in the same building.
It was when Kibibi started to mature that her father started giving her unwanted attention. He told me I was special. Initially, it was to teach me to be a woman,’ she said. ‘By the time he started having intercourse with me, he was getting more and more violent. When I would start fighting him, he would hit me. It was more about threats.’
Her father began to change, and became more controlling over the family. He moved them out of their grandparent’s apartment to another house in Paterson before relocating to Eatontown in Southern New Jersey.

The children were only allowed to watch a small amount of TV, and nothing that depicted traditional family life.Modern medicine was outlawed in the house, and he actually told his wife that his relations with Kibibi were to treat her eczema.

Kibibi wasn’t the only one Ayinde was having s*x with. He had a mistress – a Manhattan lawyer whom he had another two children with – and was also abusing one of Kibibi’s sisters. He called himself a polygamist and a prophet. His family was allowed to pray to god but could only do so through him.He said the world was going to end, and it was just going to be him and his offspring and that he was chosen,’ his ex-wife, Beverly Ayinde testified at a 2010 pre-trial hearing. She said he was attempting to create a ‘pure’ bloodline by procreating with his daughters.

When Kibibi’s first child was born without defects, Ayinde took it as proof and continued to r*pe the girl to get her pregnant. But the following children would not be so lucky. Two further daughters born from her father would be diagnosed with phenylketonuria (PKU) a disease that prevents the body from breaking down amino acids. PKU can cause brain damage and seizures.

Dr. Anna Haroutunian, a PKU specialist who has treated Kibibi’s children, said they definitely got the disease because of inbreeding.
PKU is a recessive gene, so both parents must have the gene in order for it to pass along to the child. The gene only appears at a rate of 1 in 4,000 worldwide and is must lower for African-Americans. Likely Kibibi’s paternal grandfather had the gene.Over the years, Kibibi became obsessed with escaping. She would sleep just because her dreams were better than real life.I’d dream about running away.

I’d dream about getting all my brothers and sisters — one of my sisters was a baby, and I was taking care of her — I’d dream about growing br**sts and getting milk and running away with them somewhere,’ she said.
When she was older and one of her sons fell sick, she finally got the courage to take him to the hospital since Ayinde was out of town on a business trip.
But she didn’t know how to interact with the doctors and a social worker stepped in, alerting the Department of Youth a Family Services.

When Ayinde returned from his business trip he was enraged, and threatened to forcibly remove his son from the hospital.
Child services stepped in before he could do that and placed them in separate homes.
After that Kibibi, her mother and her sisters moved away from Ayinde as she attempted to get her children back.

Her performance in state-mandated courses and counselling impressed the government officials and eventually her children were returned to her.
‘She has been an exceptional mother,’ Haroutunian said. ‘She was so attentive and patient, it’s remarkable. For a young girl – with all she’s had – she has been just wonderful.

Having to fight to get her children back also empowered Kibibi, and translated to her life after abuse. She now lives in East Orange, New Jersey with her husband.
She went back to school for her GED and will finish her liberal arts degree from Essex County College this fall. She also runs her own baking business and plans to start a restaurant someday.

Kibibi and her sister decided to finally bring charges against their abusive father. They delayed pressing charges since they were unsure the affect it would have on the children.

She shared her story in hopes of making a difference with those in a similar situation.
‘Instead of just being an experience that I had, maybe this strengthened me. What doesn’t break us makes us stronger
